Lesson Five - Editing and revising your work. Developing a detached eye. Keeping early drafts-or not? How to use transitions to maintain a smooth flow.

Lesson Six - Personal experience and biographical articles. How to hook the reader with your first sentence. When and how to use anecdotes and dialogue. Using conflict to create interest and excitement.

Second Semester - How to Find Your Markets and Write for Publication

Lesson Seven - Workshop Assignment. This evaluation gives you professional help on a manuscript of your own choice.

Lesson Eight - Feature length article. The philosophical or uplift pieces - self-improvement and health articles - the growing do-it-yourself market.

Lesson Nine - Writing Sunday Supplement features. This special market offers opportunities for both beginners and professionals. How to aim for the right reader response.

Lesson Ten - Feature articles for special markets. Travel, nature and outdoor subjects. Special magazines for corporations and specific audiences.

Lesson Eleven - Writing for trade publications. Trade journals offer a receptive field for beginning writers. Special ways to capture the right tone to evoke a positive response in the reader.

Lesson Twelve - Workshop Assignment. With the completion of this graduation assignment you can face the future with confidence - knowing that you have received complete and practical training to become a successful writer. And as a lasting testimonial to your achievement you will have earned a Certificate of Recognition, shown here.
